STRONG
Our Strength and Length classes are designed to build strength in your whole body. This is the secret weapon against becoming frail and weak as you age. Each exercise is taught with adaptations and adjustments for all levels. We use resistance bands, an exercise ball, and wrist weights to build useful and usable strength.

STRETCHED
Our FEEL BETTER STRETCH classes are ALL about getting the tightness out of the body. Increase your overall flexibility and get that nagging tightness out of your lower back, hips, and shoulders. Learn how to REALLY increase your flexibility with timings, progressions, and resistance bands.

SANE
Our CALM classes are guided breath meditations taught in a no-nonsense style that help manage stress and anxiety. Ranging from 2 to 8 minutes, these simple and profoundly effective led breath practices are designed to be done after a class or on their own whenever you need a MENTAL reset.

You can start with two yoga blocks, a set of resistance bands, and an exercise ball. Please see our START HERE section for details. We wear wrist weights in our Strength & Length classes, but these are optional and your first few classes can be done without them.

Our classes range from ten to 50 minutes, depending on the class.

Our class library is vast, and the most LOVED feature is the structured programs. After our foundational programs you can pick a program from the catalog or join us for a new programs that are released every tw month.

Absolutely NOT. This is NOT traditional yoga with traditional yoga poses, although we incorporate the breath and flow of yoga into many of our classes.

Our classes range from 5 minutes to 50 minutes. You can find a quick ten minute stretch for the morning or after a walk or hike and also find longer strength based workouts that last 20 to 40 minutes.

Our classes are designed to below impact and effective. The focus is on building strength, flexibility and mobility. This help a TON with back pain, shoulder tightness and many of the other aches and pains we get. Consistent and intellgient exercise can do a HECKUVA lot, but please check with your doctor about specific pains and injuries.

I have been teaching for 43 (omg) years and developed The Elevate Practice
because I saw a need for a low-impact, non-stressful strength and flexibility program for women over 50.
Women were doing a TON of random yoga and exercise classes, but there was no emphasis on building foundational core strength, mobility and flexibility.
In most “yoga classes,” there was too much abstract instruction, using words like empower and transform, and not enough progressive instruction so that you could build the strength and flexibility to actually FEEL better.
